                        LK 60 strength and regulations in Finland

  The strength of the structure of LK 60 is determined by calculations
  and welding procedure tests.
 

  The applicability of the glass

  Public premises:
  8+10 toughened, laminated / 8+8 toughened, laminated

  Private apartments:
  6+6 toughened, laminated

  Railing heights are country-specific according to building regulations.

 

 

Public premises

• With a rush load of (1,5kn) / m

• Anchoring with chemical M12 anchors

• Space between attachments 300 mm

• Glass 8+8 toughened, laminated

Private apartments

• Anchoring with chemical M10 anchors

• Space between attachments 400 mm

• Glass 6+6 toughened, laminated

Combining the top edges of the glasses

The glasses must be attached to each other; this way, in case the glass breaks, the railing remains in place, maintaining safety.

 

 

1) The attachments in the handrail combine the glass

 

 

 

 

 

 

2) The glass are attached from the top by gluing (wood, aluminium, stainless steel, etc.)

 

 

 

 

 

3) The glass are combined from the seams by using point attachments
