The Löyly (steam that comes out when you throw water on hot stones in a sauna) project was very interesting and challenging for Steelpro Ltd, where the company has proven its expertise in balustrade base channel fixing into wooden surface in public area with expected heavy load. The frameless balustrade system built by Steelpro combines clear view to the beautiful sea harbour and archipelago with safety for the visiting public. Thus, it is an integral part of the whole project playing an important role in creating the relaxed and airy atmosphere. The whole balustrade has a handrail the on top of the glass. Wooden one, of course! The balustrade was installed along the edge of the outside terrace on different levels and on both sides of the wooden staircase leading to the view platform top of the complex.
The location of the Löyly complex is ideal – on the sea shore, close to the city centre and the harbour where tourists arrive on cruise ships from all over the world. Helsinki offers foreign visitors a public sauna experience all year round – a must when visiting Finland.
